For the first time, the North Carolina and Washington DC regional chapters of the Acoustical Society of America will co-sponsor a 2-day joint meeting full of events in acoustics. *** Royster Student Poster Competition *** A Royster Student Poster Competition will be held on Friday evening for one $5000 or two $2500 and one $1000 scholarship awards. All graduate students are invited to submit entries on any Hearing Conservation or Noise Control subject. A broad interpretation of noise control will be used. For example, room and underwater reverberation could be considered noise. Please feel free to forward this announcement to students that might be interested.
